4. PUBLIC SPEAKING
Glossophobia or speech anxiety is the fear of public speaking. The word glossophobia derives from the Greek glōssa, meaning tongue, and phobos, fear or dread.
I was placed on a pedestal totally unprepared and I remembered the piercing eyes rampaging my self-confidence. But then slowly and surely I picked up the essentials of public speaking; however, the most important lesson to note here is to be yourself, a lot of people try to copy styles and postures leaving aside the originality and the goodness that exists within themselves.
2. Remember that your audience is as scared of being on the stage as you so go with the flow.
3. Humor, yes humor is a great icebreaker but there is no need to be a stand up comic at all times.
4. Its the content, make the content valuable for the audience. Give them what they want and not what you want to get from them. 5. Practice makes perfect, make sure that you practice your posture and the speech standing in front of a mirror.
5. Always ask for feedback from friends and colleagues after your initial talks. https://lnkd.in/feUy92f
